Number seven Scottish political blogger

Top 50 Scotland BlogYou may be wondering why the Liberal Democrats in Northern Ireland are mentioning the Total Politics Top 50 Scottish blogs for 2010. Well our first blog post was welcoming one of the top Scottish bloggers, Stephen Glenn, back to Northern Ireland.

Well earlier today Total Politics announced their annual poll results for the Scottish blogs and Stephen has risen from number 11, where he was in 2008 and 2009 to number 7.

The positions are based on votes from over 2,220 across the whole UK political readership not just Scotland. So to be in the top 10 on any of the various lists is a great acheivement. You can look forward to reading more from Stephen on Northern Irish matters here on this blog, or read more of his wider interests on Stephen’s Liberal Journal.

top Scottish LibDem blogger returns to NI

We welcome back to Northern Ireland one of the candidates that we supported financially during the 2010 General Election campaign.

Stephen Glenn, formerly LibDem candidate for Linlithgow and East Falkirk, is returning to Northern Ireland to work for at least six months. Stephen is a well-known LibDem blogger, so hopefully he will bring some life to this blog.

He also came third in the Scotblogs Awards in the Politician category and 2nd in the LibDem category.
